I usually only post a review if it's positive. Things happen and even with businesses, nothing is perfect so I try to give some grace but this has been ridiculous. Since November, they have had to come out twice. The last time was Jan 18th, 24 (note that their warrany on service means nothing. They will still charge you a fee. Red flag I should have heeded). On Monday, Feb 26, 24, I call because no heat....again. Phone rang, and rang, and rang. Nothing. Called all day. Nothing. Texted the person who came out for both prior calls. Nothing. Long story short, their 'fixing' of my furnace now requires I get a replacement furnace.
Call them at your own risk.

While my partner and I were under contract for a new home, our home inspector identified several HVAC issues and recommended a separate HVAC inspection. We had hired another HVAC company that bailed at the last minute, and the one good thing I'll say about Riley is that their technician, Adonis, was able to come out with less than 24 hours' notice. He arrived on time and called when he was on his way so we knew when to expect him.
Perhaps in part because our realtor was present, the inspection left quite a bit to be desired. Adonis was very quick to slap a Riley sticker on all our equipment, but he didn't spend much time with it. Instead, he rather quickly said that everything was fine and talked up how great it was that our home had Carrier products.
Adonis identified that our heat pump was making an unusually loud noise, but he said we shouldn't worry since the product was under warranty. I had to ask him repeatedly to write this up so we could have the sellers address it, but Adonis kept saying it was going to be "really hard" for the seller to identify the issue. In the end, he did hand-write a few words on our receipt indicating that the heat pump was making a loud noise.
During the inspection, the furnace shut itself off due to overheating. Adonis said this reflected proper functioning and that we shouldn't worry. After we moved in, though, this proved to be a serious issue as the furnace shut itself off every few minutes. We had to have someone else come and fix it.
Since we've moved in, we've been informed that ducts easily visible behind the furnace were not properly sealed. That's another issue we'll have to fix that Adonis failed to identify.
When I called Riley, they quoted me $89 for the inspection. They did not say the fee was per system. Adonis said we needed to pay $178 because our home has two HVAC systems. We presented a coupon from Riley's website for $25 off a "services call," but Adonis said we couldn't use this coupon because an HVAC inspection isn't a services call.
As you might surmise, I'll be staying away from this company in the future and I'd urge you to do the same.

Terrific service. My heater went out last night. One of the big players in the region diagnosed the problem but couldn't get the replacement part installed for another five days. My wife called around and Riley had the part and sent Adonis out to install it the same afternoon. The heat is back on and my house is nice and toasty ahead of the long chilly weekend. I'll definitely call these guys next time.

We had installed a new thermostat, and about a week later it stopped working on a very cold night. We were worried about not having the house heated that night, and we called Riley and they gave us a few items to check but they also came right out (this was after 8pm). Great and prompt response, as the issue was resolved. We will definitely use them again!
